Thanks for these tips! I uploaded three images to Shutterstock a while back and was so surprised and excited when I made $0.25 almost immediately (I know, it’s the little things now!). But since then everything I’ve tried to upload has been rejected with this error message: “the main subject is out of focus or is not in focus due to camera shake, motion blur, I overuse of noise reduction, or technical limitations of the equipment used (eg autofocus searching, camera sensor quality, etc).”

I’m using an iPhone 11 pro (as I did for the three images they DID accept). Any tips for having a non-blurry image that conforms with their expectations? Also, am I right in having deduced that they don’t like portrait mode?

I know this isn’t a photography tutorial so it’s okay if you don’t want to answer these here, but I thought I’d ask, since I’ve reached out to Shutterstock and had nothing back.

Thank you!

Claire
